How we secure your data in Brilliant View

In today's digital world, data security is a top priority. With extensive expertise and long experience in cybersecurity, we understand how important it is to protect both our customers' and users' information. That’s why we have chosen secure frameworks for the development and use of Brilliant View, ensuring your data is handled in a safe and reliable manner.

How We Secure and Process Data in Our Product

Data is the heart of most modern digital products, and how we handle and protect this data is crucial to delivering reliable and secure services. In our system, data goes through several processing steps that ensure it is both ready for reporting and well-protected as it is transmitted to our customers.

Data Collection and Processing

Once the data is collected, it undergoes a series of programmed processes to be made ready for further use. These processes are designed to ensure the data is accurate and in the correct format before being used for reporting or analysis. This phase is essential to ensure that the results generated from the data are reliable and precise.

Secure Storage in Azure

After the data is processed, it is securely stored in Azure, one of the most widely used and recognized cloud platforms, offering a robust security framework for data management. From the storage account, the data is securely transported to a database server within Azure.

Customer-Specific Data Segregation

An important aspect of our data security is ensuring that our customers' data is well isolated and protected. Therefore, data for each customer is stored in its own area, separated from other customers' data. This approach provides an additional layer of security, ensuring that each customer has control over their own data.

Authentication and Authorization

For authentication, we use Microsoft’s multitenant system, allowing our customers to use their own Azure tenant. During onboarding, a customer entity is created in Brilliant View, which is linked to the customer's Azure tenant. When a user logs in, we receive an "identity token" containing the user's Azure tenant ID. This token helps us identify which customer the user belongs to and ensures that access to data occurs at the correct level.

Authorization is primarily handled on the backend, meaning we control who has access to which dashboards and features. Currently, we have two roles: an admin role and a regular user role. Admin users have extended access, such as the ability to update and upload the API key for their systems, while regular users have access to what is relevant to their tasks.

Conclusion

At Brilliant View, we are committed to securing our customers' data, and we take this responsibility very seriously. We continue to invest in security measures and updates to meet the ever-evolving threats in the cybersecurity landscape. Our goal is to give our customers peace of mind so they can focus on what matters most – using our product to achieve their goals.
